Just a quick follow up to say that we're still on track here.... I see that libtiff made it into sid last night. I'll be traveling this weekend with little or no access to email. By the time I'm back in the area on Monday, it will have been five days since libtiff showed up in unstable and eight days since my original email went out. At that time, I'll plan to check on the status of the packages that need to be updated and post the RC (serious) bug to those that are left, as per prior arrangement.
I've already started getting messages from some maintainers who have done uploads today and can see other progress from packages.qa.debian.org. I've gotten a few messages from maintainers who can't do anything yet because they depend upon libtiff both directly and indirectly through a library that depends upon libtiff. I am keeping this in mind and will try to do something sensible about it such as creating a tree of dependencies showing which libtiff-dependent packages are blocked by which other libtiff-dependent packages, and suggesting that people may temporarily want to subscribe to pts for packages they are waiting for. This list may also be useful for helping to prioritize the NMUs that we can expect will be necessary. Hopefully we can get this all through pretty fast so this has minimal impact on the release! -- Jay Berkenbilt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.ql.org/q/
