Looks like the PIE contradictions between dpkg and gcc have been smoothed out across the board. petsc 3.7.5 now builds on all architectures (except kfreebsd and a couple of build-deps on others). In particular petsc 3.7.5 is now available on hurd-i386 powerpc x32, so we need to rebuild slepc to match on those architectures. nmu slepc_3.7.3+dfsg1-5 . hurd-i386 powerpc x32 . unstable . -m "Build against PETSc 3.7.5." -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
