I am looking into initiating the transition as indicated in the automatic
transition tracker:
https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-libmypaint.html .
The only reverse (build-)dependency is GIMP. I have tested to rebuild GIMP
against the new libmypaint and everything looks okay.

Looks like both gimp and libmypaint/mypaint has migrated to testing; I believe
this transition is finished.
