Hi adacontrol 1.6r8-1 was uploaded a few days before the freeze and is 12 days old today and ready to migrate into Etch. Here's a cost-benefit-risk analysis on why I think unblocking it is a good idea:
cost: just the cost of hinting into Etch. benefits: - better service (more functionality: 60 new checks) for our users; - the old version is no longer supported upstream while the new version is (in fact, commercial support is available); risks: no bugs in BTS, no reverse dependencies, few users per popcon, written in a language that prevents buffer overflows and other niceties, so risk is close to zero.
