Release candidates of most of it are already in either testing/unstable or experimental. As usual, this includes a libmutter ABI break, from libmutter-9-0 to libmutter-10-0. Suitable versions of gnome-shell and budgie-desktop are already available in experimental. However, before we can do this transition, we will need to get gjs 1.72 into unstable; that in turn requires mozjs91, which requires either a transition to icu 70 (#1007905), or changing mozjs91 to use its vendored copy of icu for now. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS seems to have opted for doing the ICU transition. mozjs78 to mozjs91 is only a "soft" transition: other mozjs78-dependent packages (currently meaning cjs and policykit-1/experimental) do not necessarily need to move to mozjs91 at the same time that gjs does, although obviously we would ideally prefer as few mozjs branches in testing as possible. smcv

The versions of gir1.2-gweather-4.0, gir1.2-gnomebluetooth-3.0 and gir1.2-gnomedesktop-4.0 in unstable have now gained a Breaks on gnome-shell (<< 42~alpha) to avoid broken partial upgrades from bullseye. They haven't migrated yet, but should do so in a few days. I've also had a patch accepted upstream to reduce the need for versioned Breaks in future. smcv
