On the release team side, we're not exactly sure what could break, or how badly, if we were to try and publish Bookworm with this package… Therefore, I've just uploaded an NMU, splitting the Maintainer field into Maintainer + Uploaders, picking developers in order. Source debdiff attached. By the way, the declared VCS isn't up-to-date, and lacks tags for recent uploads (last tag is debian/0.6.6-2, testing and unstable have 0.6.8-1 instead).
