[ Reason ] New upstream bug fix release [ Impact ] This is the final planned release in the stable 3.56.x series (corresponds to GNOME 48). [ Tests ] I built this package on trixie and installed it on Debian 13. I successfully completed the test cases from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/TestPlans/Evolution [ Risks ] Evolution is included by default in Debian's Cinnamon, GNOME, and GNOME Flashback desktops. If Evolution is broken, people could use Thunderbird instead. This bugfix update was included in Ubuntu 25.10 and in GNOME 48 distros. It has been in Debian Unstable and Testing for more than 2 months and in Experimental for 2 months before that. [ Checklist ] [✔️] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [✔️] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [✔️] attach debdiff against the package in stable [✔️] the issue is verified as fixed in unstable [ Other Info ] evolution 3.56.1-1+deb13u1 was accepted into trixie-security last week as a minimal fix for compatibility with webkit2gtk 2.50. The attached debdiff is against that version. This update includes additional fixes. evolution's build system is set up to require that it be built with a minimum of the corresponding versioned evolution-data-server so that's why debian/control is updated. There is one final related component, evolution-ews 3.56.2. However, I don't have an EWS account so I am unable to test it. I have done several Ubuntu SRUs of evolution-data-server and evolution and usually did not update evolution-ews because of this. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
