When we updated alsa-ucm-conf-asahi to v8 we forgot to refresh
d/install. As a result, half of the upstream configurations are not
installed in the deb. Specifically, version 8-2 in trixie lacks the
alsa ucm configurations for mics, which makes mics sound awful on
Apple Silicon machines. This was reported by a user to the Bananas
Team on IRC and is tracked in Bug#1112531. An updated version (8-3)
was already uploaded to unstable and the bug was verified to be
fixed there.
[ Impact ]
Mics will continue sounding awful.
[ Tests ]
I installed the updated package on my M1 MacBook Pro and the user
that reported the bug on IRC did the same on their M2 MacBook Pro. We
can both attest that the mics sound much louder and better. Moreover,
an annoying orange icon started showing up again in GNOME's top bar,
which is a known symptom that mics are being picked up correctly.
[ Risks ]
No known risks. The proposed update only enables mic DSP the way
upstream (and us) intended. Having working mic DSP may put us in a
position to push more updates in the future in case something breaks.

d/install was fixed so it installs the alsa ucm configurations for

We missed this during testing because we clearly underestimated the
(well-known) upstream developer's ability to create good DSP
software.
