Dear release-team, we (the pkg-multimedia-maintainers) are going to upload the new upstream version 1.0.0 of the libquicktime library to Debian unstable. I tell you, because the new version involves an ABI transition and a soname bump. The library has been in experimental since 2007-05-07. All maintainers of the very few packages [1] rdepending on libquicktime have been informed and asked (at least twice via private email) to test-build their packages against the new library. No seriuos issues have occured within the last 6 weeks so we believe it is save to upload the library to unstable. Thanks for your attention!
