Two things of note: - apt 0.7.4 still provides libapt-pkg-libc6.5-6-4.4 on m68k, rather than libapt-pkg-libc6.6-6-4.4, because glibc 2.6 has not yet built on m68k. - apt really shouldn't be including the glibc upstream minor version number in the soname at all, because glibc rigorously preserves ABI changes within a given SONAME. This would obviously require Yet Another Soname Change to fix, but it would be nice to get it done once for all. Would you care to file a bug on apt about this?
