hello, i have a question to the new debian 4.0r3. when i use 4.0r2 (amd64) and installed a new kernel (backport, 2.6.22) there is a problem with power off hdd. the shutdown script and the kernel both try to power off hdd. is it fixed? with the actually debian i have a problem with my new crt monitor. after replacing the old tft now i can not change correcty the vertical hz rate. using vesa driver, only 60hz are avaiable. when installing the free nvidia dirver (nv) i must change the xorg.conf directly with joe. when i write max. 85hz into it, the on screen display shows 79 hz, when i wrote 75 into the file the monitor says "69 hz". everytime 5mhz lower then i want. maybe you find time to answer.... greetings andre nitschke
