Sure, it could. I took the opportunity to do some fixes and fix Bug#473438, which were pending in SVN. Have you announced the binNMus somewhere? I probably missed the announcement. At any rate, we are still waiting for the bloody hdf5 on some architectures. I proposed a patch [1] to fix the openmpi dependency problem and I am waiting for the reaction of the maintainers. If this takes too long, we should consider NMUing. After that, we should address the FTBFS problems with petsc.
