Heya, acpid dropped the powerbtn conffiles some uploads ago, but didn't rm_conffiles() at the same time. We had some discussion on pkg-acpi-devel about this. I'd like to rm_conffiles the files and mention the removal in NEWS.Debian. Michael Meskes would rather keep the package as is or add some debconf logic to allow the user to chose to keep the files or remove them.
I personally think that there aren't too many users who rely heavily on the scripts; there is support in acpi-support, gnome-power-manager, display managers etc. to shut down your computer, and you can get the functionality back by copying the sample file back in place if you read NEWS.Debian. I think it's a little late for the debconf approach to merge translations and all. So I think we should either rm_conffile the file or continue shipping it as we did in the past, but it should behave the same for upgrades and new installs IMO. Could the release team please comment on what we should do for lenny? Cheers, -- Loïc Minier -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
