My mistake regarding the version of ecasound in lenny... The build problem doesn't actually exist for the version of ecasound in lenny, ecasound2.2_2.4.6.1-2, because it was never patched to use the now deprecated --unique-output option. That is, the calls to yodl in Documentation/Makefile.am are: %.man: $(srcdir)/%.yo yodl2man -o $@ $< %.html: $(srcdir)/%.yo yodl2html -o $@ $< I've built ecasound2.2_2.4.6.1-2 in a sid pbuilder to confirm that it builds with the new yodl. Therefore, introducing yodl 2.13.1 to lenny won't break the ecasound2.2 build, and since it is now by default optioned for parallel builds, it should prevent any other errors like the one Adrian caught.
