-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
My package depends on php5-cli | php4-cli, and it was fine, supporting backports to Etch and all. Then Lintian developers decided to remove php4 from the loop as php4 is removed from Lenny, so it produced an error. I then contacted them, saying that it was more easy for me and everybody that the dependency "php5-cli | php4-cli" was supported, so it would be more easy to do backports. So they supported it again. But... it went backward again, and I'm very surprised to see that the Lintian developpers decided to go back to checking only php5-cli. I'm a bit stuck with lintian producing an error, and my package can't be uploaded. It's a bit silly, as what I wrote as dependency is correct and WILL work in Lenny or SID. I don't really wish to change anything before Lenny is the new stable, if possible, as the same package works for both Lenny and Etch. Now, is it fine to add a lintian override only for that problem to be ignored? Would the release team accept the package? I'd need the answer soon enough so the last bug-fix can be sent in Lenny... Thanks for your time, and the big work on Lenny, Thomas Goirand -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFI+Okyl4M9yZjvmkkRAgJsAJoDF6hliO7cgDJ+7ZbTaAl+Rgft3ACbBfP5 RqIFOgLrj8ejWn6SB6U2IBc= =yssQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
