In conclusion, please feel free to upload the python2.4 and python-xml updates as per the last debdiffs (bearing in mind that the window for packages to be in p-u-new and make it in to 5.0.4 is likely to close some time tomorrow [fvo tomorrow involving UTC]). The two security patches for python2.5 also look fine now. I'd be happy with an upload of that which included those patches and the one hunk of debian/rules patch which enables them and removed the two hunks disabling pybench, assuming I didn't miss anything wrt pybench.
