Just to add a data point: we've been using this package (except the documentation / update-rc.d improvements of today) for a while already in production, both on IPv4-only and on IPv6-enabled hosts, with flawless results. In the scope of this package it would be a great contribution to the IPv6 release goal if the improvements in IPv6 handling would make it into squeeze.
