Hi release team! I'd like to upload a new bugfix release of Tcl/Tk 8.5 (8.5.9-1). The previous one was 10 months ago, and this release fixes a fair number of bugs (including crashes). They weren't reported in Debian BTS, but two of them were reported for Ubuntu (see [1] and [2]).
Almost all changes in this release are bugfixes, only a few new features were developed, so I don't expect many new bugs. The full release notes see in [3]. See also four diffs ([4], [5], [6], [7]). Two of them are simply the results of debdiff -w tcl8.5_8.5.8-2.dsc tcl8.5_8.5.9-1.dsc debdiff -w tk8.5_8.5.8-1.dsc tk8.5_8.5.9-1.dsc and all irrelevant files are excluded from the other two (documentation files, generated files like configure, files specific for MacOS or MS Mindows systems, timezone data (the system-wide ones are used)). If you think that the upload is acceptable, I'll do it shortly.
