Hello. The "mc" package in testing currently is affected by a bug: http://bugs.debian.org/586903 . The bug is annoying because it essentially means that mcedit is unusable for creating new non-empty files. The bug is fixed in unstable long ago, but the QA page lists "Not touching package due to block request by freeze" and suggests to contact debian-release. That's why this mail.
