(closes: #600826) As a side note, because -6 was never uploaded, -7 should have been built using dpkg-buildpackage -v, so that the .changes for -7 included the stanza from -6. This is to ensure that the BTS knows that the emacs23 package now in unstable includes the fix for #600826; I've just fixed the version information, but as things were the BTS believed that the bug had been re-introduced in -6.
