So far as I can see from the bug log, #606704 is about the empty "supported_lang" option, not which database backend gets selected by default in non-interactive installs? If the latter fix is necessary for some reason, is there a more straight-forward way of applying it? As someone who's not familiar with the package, I'm not finding it particularly easy to verify that the changes are actually correct based on the diff; the removal of the database perl modules from build-depends looks strange, particularly given that it isn't documented.
