the Debian Nagios Maintainers Group is waiting for the release of nagios-plugins 1.4.16, which has several enhances and fixes[1], for example a updated Gnulib, Nagios::Plugin and a couple of IPv6 related fixes. We thought the release will be in May, but unfortunately it was delayed. The release should now be done in the next 3 weeks. As we are close before the freeze for wheezy, we would suggest to build a package on 1.4.16pre1[2] and upload it to unstable. When the release of 1.4.16 is ready, we could update to it with a small diff against upstream. This was dicussed with Holger Weiss from upstream and we would ask you to advise how to proceed.
