Thank you for the review, I fixed the version and uploaded the package.
This change is easily tested with:
/usr/share/maven/bin/mvn archetype:generate
It downloads several files from Maven Central and displays the URLs on
the console, they now start with https instead of http.
I also have to apply the same modification to Maven 2 (the maven2-core
and maven2 packages), should I file separate pu requests?
