Hello! I've just started packaging gitorious, which is a RoR app and so there are a few missing gems that I will be packaging up for apt in the process. I'm not a DD, or even a particularly experienced packager. Also I don't know much about ruby :D
But I think I've got a decent enough handle on what I need to do here, so I'm looking for someone to check over a package I just built for the "grit" gem and tell me if I'm getting things right, and what (if anything) more would need to be done to get the packages I produce into Debian formally. I did look at the ruby-extras packaging team first, but I think that is for slightly more generic libs than I'm likely to build from the gitorious packaging? Apologies if I'm in the wrong place now. I registered an account on Alioth (wdaniels-guest) but I don't see anywhere there to upload packages for review. So if it suits somebody who can look, you could just grab it from my git: git clone git://gitorious.org/debian-gitorious/deb-gitorious-rubygems.git NB: There's a few others in there too, but grit is the only one so far that I've properly checked (I hope) to patch out rubygems, add the apt dependencies etc. I basically just want somebody to tell me I've done things correctly with that one before I go charging any further down the same path with the rest of it. Hope you can help. Cheers, Will -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected] Archive: http://lists.debian.org/[email protected]
