Hi, I noticed that debian's ruby2.5_2.5.1.orig.tar.gz (sha1 e95ff19092f2026b161e6e6d7759489d646e10aa) differs from the actual upstream ruby 2.5.1 release tarball (93fafd57a724974b951957c522cdc4478a6bdc2e)
The only difference is some gems removed from the Debian tarball: $ diff -ur upstream-orig/ debian-orig/ Only in upstream/ext/fiddle: libffi-3.2.1 Only in upstream/gems: did_you_mean-1.2.0 Only in upstream/gems: did_you_mean-1.2.0.gem Only in upstream/gems: minitest-5.10.3 Only in upstream/gems: minitest-5.10.3.gem Only in upstream/gems: net-telnet-0.1.1 Only in upstream/gems: net-telnet-0.1.1.gem Only in upstream/gems: power_assert-1.1.1 Only in upstream/gems: power_assert-1.1.1.gem Only in upstream/gems: rake-12.3.0 Only in upstream/gems: rake-12.3.0.gem Only in upstream/gems: test-unit-3.2.7 Only in upstream/gems: test-unit-3.2.7.gem Only in upstream/gems: xmlrpc-0.3.0 Only in upstream/gems: xmlrpc-0.3.0.gem Is this expected? It was a bit surprising to me to find that the included orig tarball wasn't exactly the one from upstream. Thanks, John. -- https://www.brightbox.com
