Hi all,

I have completed a rebuild of the reverse dependencies of Ruby in order
to add support for Ruby 3.4. The results are available here:

https://people.debian.org/~kanashiro/debian/ruby3.4/

As usual, I would like to ask for help fixing the packages that
currently fail to build against Ruby 3.4. Once a sufficient set of key
packages is fixed, we can ask the release team to start the Ruby 3.4
transition in unstable.

To reproduce the build failures reported above, you can build the
affected packages using ruby-all-dev from experimental. This will pull
in Ruby 3.4 from experimental and build the package against both Ruby
3.3 (still the default) and Ruby 3.4 (currently an alternative
interpreter).

You can use the binary packages from my rebuilds by adding the
following line to the sources.list of your build environment
(instructions at the header of the report page):

deb [trusted=yes] https://people.debian.org/~kanashiro/debian/ruby3.4/
./

If you are interested in helping, let’s coordinate the work on the
#debian-ruby IRC channel on OFTC.

Happy hacking!

Lucas Kanashiro
