If I understand correctly, I have G1 earlier hardware, which not support new G2 instructions and need patch for kernel to emulate these instructions.  I must download ipltape.boot file, rename it to kernel.debian, append to this file kernel.debian from CD, transfer it to host and write to tape. Did I understand correctly? Will do it work with debian kernel?
