initrd2.debian?

still has a "fixme" tag in section 4.3 about creating a second initrd.debian for OCO drivers and the like. Since DEBIAN EXEC from the FTP sites tries to punch initrd2.debian out, it seems that someone figures we all need one.

I think I can get a guest connected with either an LCS device or a CTCA device. I can only dream about needing 3590 support. If I don't need 3590s or hyperlan support, can I just ignore initrd2.debian?
