When following Help -> About FreeCAD
The version number is blank
Using the copy to clipboard button it shows the version but not the build
number.
Shown is
Version: 0.19.
On the Appimage you get
Version: 0.19.24212 (Git) AppImage
And on a local buidl from git
Version: 0.19.24226 (Git)
Sorry if you get this twice I tried a few hours ago and no email has been

Hi Andrew,
At least with 0.20.1, the About Dialog shows "Version: 0.20.1", so I guess this
part of your bug report has been fixed.

This seems to be correct, expect maybe the extra "." after the version number.
It is also correct not to have any git reference, as the Debian packaging is not
based on any (upstream) git revision, but we generally package released
versions, as in the tarballs offered from
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases.
So let me close this bug, feel free to reopen and ammend if I missed your point.
