Bug#1049326: pandas FTBFS with numexpr 2.8.5

On further thought, both of those probably should be fixed in numexpr - I have pushed them to fix1049326.
With those changes to numexpr, the new pandas (1.5.3+dfsg-5) should build; pytables will still also need its upstream fix.
