Package: python3-pandas
Version: 1.5.3+dfsg-4
Severity: wishlist
Control: block -1 by 1043093
pandas 2.0 is now in experimental. However (as you might expect from
that version number), it breaks around 40 other packages, and it is
hence likely to be some time before it moves to unstable.
Upstream release notes:
https://pandas.pydata.org/docs/whatsnew/v2.0.0.html#backwards-incompatible-api-changes
Build test results:
https://launchpad.net/~rebecca-palmer/+archive/ubuntu/pandas2p0/+packages
Autopkgtest results:
https://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?experimental=1&package=pandas
These packages have not been (fully) tested because they build- or
test-depend on dask, which is already known to break (#1043093):
dask.distributed extra-data flox intake pint-xarray python-cooler
python-geotiepoints python-streamz python-xarray sunpy xarray-safe-s1
xarray-sentinel
These packages have not been build-tested because they do not exist in
Ubuntu (probably because they were broken already, as none of them are
in Debian testing either):
epigrass keras pynwb tpot

Version: 2.1.4+dfsg-5
pandas 2.1 is now in testing.
(Upstream have since released 2.2, but I'll use a new bug for that.)
