xsimd builds with -march=native, at least on amd64 and arm64. This is a
policy violation.
and even if you build multiple variants, -march=native never is the
correct configuration to build packages for, assuming that the user's
machine have at least the same baseline as the build machine.

xsimd is a header-only library. The use of -march=native that you're seeing is
when building test.
It's appropriate to use -march=native for tests, since that better reflects
end-user usage.
Not a bug, so closing.
