Builds of apophenia fail for several architectures with test suite
errors, as follows:
* distribution_tests fails on *i386 and ppc64el.
* ../eg/test_updating fails on arm64, (traditional) powerpc, and s390x.
* s390x has one other failed test: ../eg/t_test_by_rows.
