What could be the difference?
Don't know, sorry. Good luck!
Well, does the box run unstable too?
that box is a standard jessie system running standard chroots (either
testing, unstable or experimental) through pbuilder.
What is the gcc version? [it is 5.3.1-14 on the three systems I have used]
whatever is in sid is the good answer.
Then it's the same.
That said, I can easily reproduce the same failure of the one you can
see on tests.reproducible-builds.org here locally too.
And the three amd64 I have here don't :-/
This thing started to ftbfs fairly recently (22 March the first time),
so I'd urge you to make sure your chroots are clean and up-to-date.
I removed the base.tgz and "pbuilder create" it anew. The package
compiles perfectly.
I'm at loss :-/
