I am considering using HDF (Hierarchical Data Format) for the storage
of samples created from a digital-to-analog converter. Since I don't
really plan to share the data files that widely (one of the advantages
of HDF), I am wondering if using HDF (versus "binary" or even ASCII)
is overkill.

Any HDF users out there? ;-)

Thanks for any comments,
