Dear all,

Irrespective of the fact that this particular software is packed for
Debian, I would like to point out that I would prefer that people DO keep
advertising for free (scientific) software they feel is use- and
helpful even if its NOT YET packaged for Debian.
There are so many excellent pieces of software available out there that at least
I am unaware that they exist and some of them might even solve my
problems. In the "worst" case I (as a newbie) even dare to do the Linux
triple-jump
"./configure; make; make install" if the program sounds useful to me.

If, however, several people should feel offended by this kind of
advertising, how about a tag to such mails in the topic line, e.g.
"[Recommended] Superduper solveallproblems-software (yet no .deb)".
This could easily be filtered out by those who don't like that.

Just my thoughts,
 Stephan
