Rafael,
I have good news for you. I downloaded the 1.5.3 tarball and built xmds in my Debian etch system. I could not run the lorenz example as in the documentation (see below), but I succeeded to build the nlse example. After running:$ ./xsil2graphics nlse.xsil I launched Octave (version 2,1,73) and it works:
That's fantastic news!!! :-)
Since xmds uses the Autotools, building a Debian package for it is quite trivial. I can give a try, if you wish.
That would be great. There's someone else on debian-science with whom I was speaking who was thinking about doing that, however, if you get the tuits, I don't think he'll mind. I'm going to copy this to debian-science so that he knows.
P.S.: This is the error message in building the lorenz example:
Thanks for the error report, this was a known problem and has been fixed in the CVS version of xmds; see for example: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=30690448&forum_id=31273 BTW: I didn't mind you sending your message to me to the list.
