Did you switch to Linux 2.6? Does it go away with Linux 2.4? Does
"sudo sh -c 'echo -n 1 >/proc/sys/vm/legacy_va_layout'" fix it?
I have run it successfully on a sarge box using kernel 2.6.8. It gives a
segfault on my sid box under 2.6.18. I have not tried it with other
configurations (i.e. 2.4 kernel on sid!). The echo command you suggested
does not help.
