Hello! I'm searching for a F/LOS software to manage animal facilities, (e.g. mouse colonies) in a very basic way, i.e. keeping information of every animal (lineage, date of birth/death, different cages where it was/is and so on).
ATM, the lab I'm working in uses an Excel spreadsheet and this results in some major disadvantages when your colony grows very fast (which is the case with mice). The replacement should run on any OS, since I'm the only one in the lab using GNU/Linux (the other machines run Windows or OSX) and in a standalone mode, i.e. it shouldn't require a working network connection.
