Hi, I am trying to install the CFD package OpenFoam. Until now, without much success. Unfortunately the software is in the Debian package repository, though I found a project on Alioth. The project admin did not respond on my question about the progress of the packaging the software for Debian.
Now I have to go through the building system, it might be interesting to package it by myself. Probably much of the third-party software (like the gcc compiler, ld, lam-mpi, open-mpi and probably more) is already in Debian and is of identic of newer releases. My question is if there is some interest in having this software on Debian and are there (aspirant) users willing to collaborate or giving me a hand while packaging? Though I have done some packaging, this is a large project and might be asked too much for a single person to do it.
