Dear Debianizers, I just successfully uploaded the package instructions I am using for Geant4 to git.debian.org under Debian-science (I hope). The package does not at the moment build successfully with the recent version of Geant4, but after suggestion from Steffen I still upload it. Any fixes are most welcome, I am by far not an experienced packager, and have just maintained this package according to best efforts. One of my problems have been lack of time. Geant4 takes a long time to compile, and for every fix I try I need several hours to test (is there a way to do some kind of "build --continue" so that the packaging does not have to start from scratch?). Essentially I do not have time left after a few trials. If anyone manages to get it building again it is of course no problem for me to make it available on our unofficial server. I know several people use these builds (learned this the hard way when I broke the packages at one point), so I know any patches/improvements/help are welcome not only by me! Let me know if I made any mistakes or caused problems during the upload. Cheers, Yngve
