I was just linking against -lboost_python. Now while you are reminding me I wonder how this can even work? Is there a symlink to libboost_python.so? I need to read up on pkg-config first. Also I need to rework my use-system-libs patch to be more general and upstream friendly. Maybe there will be a good way to make it work. > PS: do you know about sastbx > http://sastbx.als.lbl.gov/wiki/index.php/Main_Page > It would be nice if your work on cctbx could be easily ported to sastbx. I didn't know that project but I saw other projects like this that depend on the cctbx build system. We should think about a binary package that can provide the cctbx build system (basically libtbx and scripts) which we can use as build-dep for other packages. But for this we have to take care of the pickle object they create. I think this is the main idea of the LIBTBX env variable and the pickle object.
