Thanks for the mail. In Debian jargon, sponsorship refers to uploading a
debian package prepared by the person requesting sponsorship. Do you
intend to do the packaging work? If so, you might find

useful as a starting point. There is also irc channel #debian-mentors on
irc.debian.org and mailing list [email protected].
If on the other hand, you don't have time or motivation to do that work,
what you want to do is file a "Request for Package" bug. On a debian
system "reportbug wnpp" should guide you through the steps. Essentially
the same information you provided in your mail can be cut and paste into
reportbug.
