Hi, Two years ago I put an autotools-based build system into levmar 2.6 to facilitate its use with abinit. In particular, we were interested in having a shared library. I only had to slightly modify the main include file in order to take benefit from config.h and exchanged a few emails with upstream who was favorable to its packaging.
I also put it on my package todo list for the science-nanoscale-physics* metapackages with a low priority. It is still waiting as-is in the queue and I did not do anything about it yet because few abinit users require this feature and it still passes the tests.
