I am also not excited by one more round of VCS URL updates. (But I am very excited by the availability of a GitLab server for Debian.) In case the final decision of the anonscm and salsa admins is to require for an URL update, I would tend to wait that `cme fix dpkg-contol`, which I run when I touch an old package, would start to do the work for me. In that sense, I think that it is fine to only update the behaviour of dh-r once other pieces of the ecosystem (cme, lintian, ...) make the transition.
