I may be misusing the science-team list a bit since those packages are not in the sience gorup on salsa - but it is not completely off. I have invested some time into packaging ArduPilot. It produces a binary package with what is required for simulating a copter via the ArduPilot "Software-in-the-Loop"-setup. My attempt lives on https://salsa.debian.org/debian/ardupilot .
I also prepared an initial packageing for the Python module implementing the MAVlink protocol, which is on https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/python-pymavlink .
My immediate aim is to link this up with the simulator flightgear (https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/flightgear), but this needs another package, if I understood this right .. could not read this up, yet, that pesky d/copyright file kept me busy.
Should anyone happen to be working on this in parallel, please team up.
