* Package name : pgopher Version : 10.2.0 Upstream Contact: Cyril Richard <[email protected]> * URL : https://gitlab.com/labicb/pgopher * License : LGPL-2.1+, with parts under GPL-2, GPL-2+ and BSD-3-clause Programming Lang: Pascal (Free Pascal/Lazarus), Fortran Description : simulation and fitting of molecular spectra PGOPHER is a general purpose program for simulating and fitting rotational, vibrational and electronic spectra. It handles linear molecules, symmetric and asymmetric tops, including fine and hyperfine structure, perturbations and multiphoton transitions, and fits molecular constants to line positions, intensities and band contours. The package provides the graphical program pgopher and the command line program pgo. PGOPHER was written by C. M. Western at the University of Bristol and is widely used in molecular spectroscopy (C. M. Western, J. Quant. Spectrosc. Radiat. Transfer 186, 221-242 (2017)). After his death, the program was no longer maintained; with the agreement of the University of Bristol, I now maintain it at the address above. Version 10.2.0 is the first release of this maintained version: the calculations are unchanged from the last release by C. M. Western (10.1.183), it builds with Meson, and it uses Qt6 on Linux. I will maintain the package within the Debian Science team, where I already maintain spview and xtds; the packaging will be at https://salsa.debian.org/science-team/pgopher. I will need a sponsor for the upload.
