None of this is going to happen right now. As Aleksey pointed out to me, there is a "libewf-legacy" repository that continues providing a stable API while supporting Python2 and Python3 bindings. So that's going be used. So instead we are going to go with a libewf/20140804-1 package. Cheers, -Hilko
