I am pondering getting the changes at https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-security-team/chkrootkit/-/merge_requests/11 into chkrootkit
I have the commit access to merge the MR into the debian repository, but: - I would need a sponsor to upload - It is close to the full freeze, so i want to check this is OK Basically: if i do the merge, will someone be willing able to do the sponsoring and upload next week? - I probably wont be very responsive towards the end of next week (i dont expect any issues though, and will be 'back' well before migration) - If the full freeze for all packages happens before migration (seems possible?), i would hope these would qualify for an unblock, which i can request (assuming the release-team will accept a request from a non-DD!) but obviously uploading sooner would be better. If there's a better idea, happy to do that instead. (it's not the end of the world if these changes do not get into trixie - it fixes a missing runtime dependencies, but in practice no-one has noticed this gap for years: users are very likely to already have the right things installed, and the autopkgtest also depends on enough to hide the issue) Let me know Richard
