 The problematic part in the license that you pointed out to me is part
of a very broad part of the main archive, btw, including tex and BSD
licensed stuff, if I'm not completely misunderstanding your objection to
it:

3. Neither the name of the University nor the names of its contributors
   may be used to endorse or promote products derived from this software
   without specific prior written permission.
